POLAR TANK TRAILER NAMES JOHN KOLL DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, HIRES DON OLSON AS SALES MANAGER – WESTERN U.S.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (Feb. 26, 2013)—Polar Tank Trailer, one of North America’s largest producers of trailers for dry and liquid bulk freight, has named John Koll director of product management, a new department created to improve the company’s existing line of tank trailers and to identify opportunities to develop new products.

Koll will lead a team of managers that will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, and sales to oversee the entire line of Polar Tank Trailer products. “Under John’s direction, this team’s mission is to ensure that the trailers we engineer and build are meeting the exacting needs of our customers today and in the future,” said Jim Painter, president of Polar Tank Trailer. “This is an exciting, progressive position within Polar, and John is the right person to lead this effort.”

To replace Koll, the company has hired Don Olson as Western regional sales manager. Olson is responsible for new equipment sales in Alaska, Hawaii, California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, and for used equipment sales in these states as well as in New Mexico and Colorado.

“Don has a wealth of experience in the tank industry and his strong relationships among dry and liquid bulk fleets in the West will be instrumental as we expand our business in the region,” Painter said.

Olson comes to Polar Tank Trailer from Beall Corporation, where he was vice president of sales in Southern California from 2002 to 2012. His extensive career in the tank business includes a position as Polar Tank Co.’s regional sales manager for the Upper Midwest from 1988 to 1995.

Polar Tank Trailer designs and builds aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel tank trailers for dry and liquid bulk cargoes, including oil and fuel, food products, asphalt, chemicals, and corrosives. The company has plants in Opole and Holdingford, Minn., and Springfield, Mo.
