ST. CLOUD, Minn. (Dec. X, 2012)—Polar Tank Trailer, North America’s largest producer of dry and liquid bulk tank trailers, has hired Jim Bach as director of materials.

In his new role, Bach is responsible for planning, master scheduling, and inventory optimization for the company’s manufacturing operations in Opole and Holdingford, Minn.

Prior to joining Polar, Bach spent nearly 17 years in senior management positions focused on forecasting, demand planning, materials handling, distribution, and quality within the medical device industry. “Jim’s role is vital to our efficiency, productivity, and ability meet customer demand,” said Jim Painter, president of Polar Tank Trailer. “His extensive background in manufacturing and materials management makes him ideally suited to this job.”

Bach has bachelor’s degree in business management from St. Cloud State University.

Polar Tank Trailer designs and builds aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel tank trailers for bulk cargoes, including oil and fuel, food products, asphalt, chemicals, and corrosives. The company has plants in Opole and Holdingford, Minn., and Springfield, Mo.
