St. Cloud, MN, April 8, 2011 – Polar Corporation recently named Samantha Kerry as the company’s new Director of Information Technology. In her new position, Kerry provides strategic direction, oversees and implements technology and communication initiatives within the three Polar Corporation companies – Polar Tank Trailer, Polar Service Centers, and Quality Trailer Products.
“Information technology is a critical piece of the mix for world-class organizations,” said Ted J. Fick, president and CEO of Polar Corporation. “With the addition of Samantha, we’re continuing our commitment to continuous improvement when it comes to customer service, as well as improving productivity and communication within our three companies and home office. Samanth brings a wealth of knowledge and nearly 20 years of
experience to Polar.”
Before joining Polar, Kerry was the Director of IT at Allstate Peterbilt for 10 years;
and prior to Allstate, was at Ag-Chem Equipment and Anagram International.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University.
According to Fick, one of the company’s strategic initiatives is to better link Polar
Tank Trailer manufacturing with Polar’s sales department and Polar Service Centers to streamline order processing. “Each tanker we build is unique and individualized to a customer,” said Fick. “What Samantha’s team is doing is bridging real-time communication between sales and manufacturing which will allow faster customer service and order entry, while improving the quality of the build process.”
